What will you find at FBC Point?
We are glad you asked, expect to be greeted with a smile and know that we have already been praying for you. Our desire is to see the whole world reached with the Gospel of Christ Jesus!
What style of worship will be found at FBC Point?
We are a traditional congregation that loves the hymns of old and has a place for a new song to lift up to the Lord!
What should I wear?
Clothes! You may find the attire of suits here, but also overalls. Be respectful, we are commanded to be Holy a God is Holy, let our attire reflect that. Shorts, Overalls, Boots, Suits-none of these should be the cause of division among the Church.
What Translation does the Pastor use?
Our Pastor preaches from the King James Bible, has a heart for the lost, and is active in youth sports here in Rains County. As you search our site, if you have any questions, please contact us.
What Ministries is First Baptist Involved With?
We are active members in the Hunt Baptist Association and The SBC of Texas. We Support and work with AIM(Agape Impact Ministries), Led my Missionaries Keith and Nhan McDougal stationed in the Philippines. This is a Christian Orphanage that rescues the most vulnerable and works to find them permanent loving homes. We are proud to say we are the first monthly sponsor of AIM. We also support and work with the Texas Baptist Men, of which we have several members participate in Disaster Relief. The Raffa Clinic, a pregnancy resource center in Greenville, Texas-Offering Christian Counseling, Parenting Classes, and Work for that Gospel Centered Conversation. Unborn Children are saved every month because of their great work. Baptist Student Union at Texas A&M Commerce. Good Samaritans of Emory, Texas, or Good Sam's as it is known, is primarily a food pantry, but also works to clothe and supply homes with household goods, and aids in emergency funds.
